Welcome into the Café, my Love!
I don’t know about you, but the Libra new moon, 10/10/10 portal, the whole weekend, actually, felt quite transformative. It was a weekend that solidified my resolve, determination, and confidence. I’m enthusiastic about what that means for my service to you and the collective that resonates with my vibe.
It’s great that we move right into a waxing quarter moon in Capricorn, because Capricorn energy thrives on resolve and determination and long term commitment! More about that in our Flavor of the Week segment.

Flavor of the Week 😋 Firm Footing
I’m totally being a nerd with this Flavor of the Week! 🤓 (Okay, when am I not being a nerd?! Lol)
Our primary moon phase happens at the tail end of the week on Sunday—a waxing quarter moon in Capricorn. Author Leslie Tagorda names some of the major Capricorn themes as:
the power to achieve, focus, ambition
old soul, wizard, wisdom keeper, expert
director, executive, authority, mentor
architect, engineer, structure
Those last keywords contain the thread I’m pulling for us this week. As a former architecture student, I learned that “footing” is an architectural term naming the wide base of a building’s foundation that makes direct contact with the soil and provides the structure with stability.

Building, architecture, foundation, earth, soil, structure, stability… That’s big Capricorn energy, okay?!
People and things with big Capricorn energy are often the bedrock in their homes, families, communities, teams, and workplaces. They are often good providers too. Capricornian folks often get a lot of satisfaction from this, but that doesn’t mean things don’t get heavy and that they don’t need care and support too!
Whether you’re a Capricorn or have Capricorn placements or not, we all have at least a little Capricorn energy in our birth chart that influences a particular area of our lives or aspect of ourselves.
Major Milestones
In my channeling for this week’s Refill, the first message I got was that we could witness a major milestone in a long term effort we’ve been making toward a goal. After exercising patience and persistence, the waxing Capricorn quarter moon could present us with a sneak preview of our potential results or provide meaningful feedback about our progress so far.
On the Capricorn new moon, likely the one on January 18, 2026, we can think of planting our new moon seeds back then as “breaking ground” on something brand new, whether we did so intentionally or not. Breaking ground just requires sticking a shovel in the dirt. You don’t actually have to create anything, except maybe a hole.
This Capricorn waxing quarter moon this weekend, however, is potentially where the foundation is officially complete. Maybe there are no signs of a building beyond that, but it’s more than enough confirmation that a structure is being built. And the foundation is the most important part! So if you receive confirmation of our progress on anything this week, celebrate it!
Yall know I’m the Analogy Queen, but remember that you must track for yourself if and how this resonates in your personal life or within the collective you’re most connected to. For each of us, this foundation may be a spiritual and energetic one, a practical and material one, a relational and communal one, or all of the above. Naturally, everything starts in spirit and energetic form anyway, so don’t discount your progress if it’s still primarily internal at this stage.
In fact, part of my channeled message was that we may feel and receive confirmation of our personal maturation. We may recognize how we’ve matured over the past two years or so and developed a deeper emotional foundation and stability.
With this being Capricorn themed, I must acknowledge that some people might also experience “maturity” in the financial sense as well. 🤓
The Other Meaning of “Footing” (the meaning most of you probably know and use!)
Because the quarter moon isn’t until Sunday, we’ve got all week to build up to that milestone. Before then, the moon will pass through Scorpio and Sagittarius, waxing as it goes. What I channeled about this ramp up is that it might feel like a wave or undulation as the moon roams from air, to water, to fire, as it changes signs. And as the moon steps into the earth sign of Capricorn, we can start to find some footing again as we feel the firm ground beneath our feet.

An animal most associated with Capricorn is the mountain goat. The goats that somehow find footholds on the sides of mountains where no apparent footholds appear to us human beings. These goats have spectacular ability to find their footing as they climb the steepest mountains. The idea of climbing a mountain is a Capricornian symbol of ambition and achievement, and the goats’ ability to hold their footing over seemingly impossible terrain is a Capricornian symbol of strength, fortitude, and resourcefulness.
So, let’s acknowledge that your progress might have been just a little challenging, even if you appeared to others like you were moving and navigating with ease and grace.
The moon will mark a waxing quarter milestone in the Earth sign of Capricorn. Then, of course, the moon will moon and move again! This is one reason the moon is associated with waves and tides, because it’s sooo changable and always going through a phase… (told yall I was going full nerd this week 😜 🤓)
“Dancing to the Rhythm of Life”
During my channeling, I was advised to check the Sabian symbol for this Capricorn quarter moon. My guides were like, “You’re gonna like it!” Well, they must know me or something, cus I like! The official symbol, per the Sacred 7 Academy website by James Burgess, is “A Water Sprite: a nature spirit dancing in the iridescent mist of a waterfall.” Burgess describes it as “Dancing to the rhythm of life” and elaborates:
“We can tune in to the subtle flow of energy that interpenetrates all life and so find ourselves to be just one part of the Great Mystery.
“Free spirits are masters of their own experience.
“In a free-minded person, the pure integrity of self asserts itself – as a protection against blind or inept participation in any existing progression of affairs that does not properly reflect their authentic expression of character.
“Instead they will often be seen as a rebel – troublesome, eccentric and someone to be suspicious of. Such people demand every possible experience of richness in their outer reality; they develop a highly personalised form of approach to life.”
The 25th degree (in any sign) is an “Aires degree,” which reinforces this sense of being true to one’s individual and unique nature and having the boldness to express yourself. This is very much a leadership quality, another Capricorn theme, as great leaders tend to be those who are most authentic.
I could go in lots of directions with just this one section, but the most pertinent idea for us this week based on this 25th degree and this Sabian symbol is to be bold and unapologetic about your goals, your ambitions, your desires, and your visionary visions. Don’t be deterred by folks who say your ideas are too big or too weird or too improbable or too ahead of their time. Be the you-iest you, you can be this week because that foundation of authenticity is the only foundation firm enough to sustainably build the life your dreams.
Open Mic 🎤 “Rhythm of Life”
I think I’ve featured this song before, but given this week’s Sabian symbol message, how could I not pick this one? Now we can all literally dance to the “Rhythm of Life.” Lol
Random Notes: Oleta Adams is so pretty, and this song always reminds me of New York City.
