It’s my birthday week, babes!!! 🥳

I feel like that’s all that needs to be said, lol.

But seriously. Welcome to the baddest month of the year, honey. June brings Summer in the Northern Hemmi, the Solstice, Black Music Month, Juneteenth, Pride, new Dream Studio Workshops, and the solar return of somebody’s favorite Gemini. What more can I say???

A lot more, actually, lol. Just keep reading 😉. With the rise of Summer and the numerology of June as a universal 7 month, I get the energy of a sauna—hot and relaxing, steamy and rejuvenating. This feels super sultry. June is a dreamy, slow dance kind of month that fills your cup and nourishes your soul.

JUNE 2026 FLAVOR OF THE MONTH 😋

Sultry Slow Dance

I see 7 energy as that of the wise, mystical sage who develops their wisdom and spiritual practice via deep study and introspection, which often requires stretches of solitude and space to process all they are learning. My go-to resource for numerology is The Big Book of Numerology: The Hidden Meaning of Numbers and Letters by Shirley Blackwell Lawrence. She describes a few key qualities of 7 energy.

The first is that 7 energy is reflective, and learns from its past. This reminds me of the new book I’m reading, The Edge of Space Time: Particles, Poetry, and the Cosmic Dream Boogie, which starts with an introduction titled, “SANKOFA!” The author quotes G. F. Kojo Arthur as writing, “There is nothing wrong with learning from hindsight . . .” Across the collective, June as a 7 month opens a field for reflection and evaluation of history, recent and ancient. This is aided by Pluto currently retrograde and Mercury stationing retrograde on June 29th. This is partly what makes 7’s so wise! They don’t just accumulate experiences, they learn from those experiences.

The second quality of 7 is rest. This rest facilitates the first quality of reflection because you have to pause activity for awhile to reflect more deeply upon that activity and to evaluate your direction and progress. And rest is helpful for regenerating vitality for the high energy and productivity of the number 8. Lawrence writes: “Those with 7’s prominent in their charts need more rest than other people.” I felt so seen reading this because my Life Path number is a 17/8, “the self (1) resting (7) to renew strength (8).” This contributes to my nature as a highly ambitious person who loves my work (like this newsletter 😊) and is also a homebody/introvert. Not shy, just needing ample downtime or solitude to recuperate! But this solo downtime is also needed to do my work. Apparently people with 7s in their chart work best alone, and would generally rather be alone than be with people who don’t inspire them.

For many, June is the start of peak vacation season, which is a type of rest. Yet we might find our usual summer desire to be more “outside,” is not as strong this month. OR we might be going “outside” for more 7-energy themes like learning, spirituality, and relaxation. It’s also a great time to delve into a summer reading list or join a book club if you want to add a social component. Don’t contract FOMO, though. There’s so much value in taking it slow and mellow. See it less like the slowness of creeping along in traffic, and more like the slowness of a sultry slow dance.

That’s the beauty of slowing down that so many people overlook. Slowing down allows you to be more intentional, more present, more aware of the details in every given moment, which allows you to savor those moments, to soak up the data reaching your senses. Take the time to rest and conserve energy while you can! Especially because you never know what demands might be placed on your time and energy tomorrow.

A third quality of 7 energy is mystery and intuition. Really 7 is everyday mystic energy. Lawrence says 7s seem to be secretive. I wrote between the lines, the word, mystery. They are not intentionally withholding information. It’s just that people can sense there’s so much more beneath the surface. For the collective in June, we have a greater opportunity to embrace mystery, to face the unknown, and to ponder the questions within questions. This aspect of 7 energy is a great match for Gemini season. While Gemini is the fastest zodiac sign, so it doesn’t align with 7 energy in that way, Gemini is a beautiful playground for 7’s deep curiosity.

All that stillness and reflection and embrace of mystery creates great conditions for spiritual awakenings, or deepening spiritual connection. This is my favorite feature of 7 energy!

June Journal Prompts ✍🏿

As a universal 7 month, June is perfect for any journaling. The following prompts are crafted to help you soak up 7 energy more deeply.

  1. Look back on your year so far. What have you experienced and learned as a result?

  2. What’s the current state of your spirituality and spiritual practices? How can you connect more deeply to your intuition, your soul’s path, your ancestors, loved ones, angels, or guides?

  3. How can you give yourself more rest this month?

  4. How has your journey in the first half of the year honored, or not honored, your core values, your highest intentions, and your authentic truth?

  5. Where have you been leading with fear rather than faith?

  6. How can you give yourself more space for intentional solitude? What will your intention be for that sacred time?

  7. What’s a good book or article you’ve read recently? Why did it resonate with you?

Open Mic 🎤: Sultry and Smoky

Yall… When I heard Smoky Robinson singing my name!!! Whew, chile! Talk about a sultry, soulful, slow dance! This version of “Sara[h] Smile” is officially my favorite. I wanted this song for my birthday week, and the mellow soul of these old cats performing live and cozy in one of their homes is a great way to kick off the summer sultriness of June and the mellow energy of 7.

How’d you like this week’s message?

Sincerely,
Dr. Sarah
